The following discription is of my great uncle RH Adamson, who was in
Y Company 6th DLI and is buried at Perth cemetery (China Wall) Ieper.

The Battalion relieved the 5th Borders on the 6th February and the
companies took up the following positions in the area of Armagh Wood:-
'W Company in trenches A4 and A5, Z Company in A6 to A7 Y Company
in A8 to A9 X Company in A10 to A11 . On the following day,
enemy shelling caused the inevitable casualties.
Private R,H. Adamson of Rookhope, was killed.
